New Build | Residential
All ProjectsA Texas Hill Country Retreat.
Overview
This client was looking to create a new home to retire in on the top of a hill that had spectacular view to the surrounding Hill Country north of Fredericksburg.
The home was created to blend in with the Hill Country style of the region and to take advantage of the stunning vista. We created a large deep set covered porch around the home to be able to create more of an outdoor living area.
The interior of the residence also needed to be as open as possible to extend the views from the interior and make the interior. The kitchen, living room and dining room were open to one another and orientated to the most prominent view. They have heavy timber trusses and a wood ceilings to create a rustic feel. From any point in these areas one could view the horizon.
The master bedroom was also orientated to the prominent view. The master bath was spacious with a large shower and allowed for separate vanity areas.
The rest of the home the laundry, secondary bedroom, powder room and garage were done to support the main home and allowed for guests to visit and maintain some privacy.
