Partial remodel
All ProjectsCasa Linda Remodel | Farmhouse Chic
Overview
In this project the client wanted to remodel their kitchen and create a better connection to their living room and breakfast area as well create a more inviting center of the home.
The existing kitchen was very small, dark and not very inviting to be creative in the kitchen as well as entertain friends. With the clients input the kitchen was moved to the back of the house to allow for more direct light into the kitchen and also allowed for a much larger layout of the kitchen. This arrangement along with a small addition allowed for a adjacent living and breakfast area that would become the heart of the homes activities.
The client desired to cottage type feel to this area as the home, built in the 1940's already had some of this feel. Paint grade cabinets, wood plank walls and large expanses of glass helped create this. In the desire for this vintage feel modern appliances and layout were not sacrificied.
The use of seating around the center island, large opening to the living room and the windows to the back yard and patio helps this Casa Linda renovation be warm and inviting to just the family or to a larger gathering.
